Delete your Trashlate account
You can request deletion of your Trashlate account and associated app data. This page explains how to submit a request and what we delete.
How to request account deletion
- Sign in to the email address linked to your Trashlate account (the address you use in the app).
- Email support@trashlate.com from that address with the subject line “Delete my Trashlate account”.
- We will verify ownership and confirm when deletion is complete (usually within 30 days).
Data we delete
- Your account profile (display name, locale, avatar, timezone).
- Tramchi progress, chat history, translations, and related app content tied to your account.
- Subscription status records stored for your account in our database (billing history may still be held by Apple, Google, or Paddle as described below).
- Authentication identity for Trashlate (you will not be able to sign in with the same account after deletion).
Data that may be kept
- Billing and tax records required by law or payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play, Paddle), typically up to 7 years where required.
- Minimal security or abuse-prevention logs retained only as long as necessary (generally up to 90 days).
After we process your request, deletion of active app data is typically completed within 30 days. Backups may take up to an additional 30 days to clear.
